Florida's Space Coast provides anglers with the best sight fishing
for large redfish in the world! Located less than an hour east
of Orlando, this area has become home to many monstrous reds.

Mosquito Lagoon - Titusville / New Smyrna Beach / 45 minutes east
of Orlando
Merritt Island National Wildlife (100 miles of grass flats)
Banana River Lagoon - Cocoa Beach/ Melbourne
Indian River Lagoon/ from Ponce Inlet to Fort Pierce/Stuart
What's the catch: Tangle with the world-record redfish (30-50
pounds) or target schools of eight-to 25-pound redfish or even
sight cast to single fish between four to 15-pounds. Angler's
Info: Use spinning or fly tackle, bait, artificial or flies. Skilled
anglers or novices welcomed. Instruction is available. Bookings

Blue Water & Offshore Thrills
The Gulf Stream - a river of warm ocean currents, parallels the
entire length of Florida's East Coast. This "Stream"
attracts hordes of big, blue water species: sailfish, marlin,
yellowfin tuna, wahoo, dolphin! Where:
* Ponce DeLeon Inlet
* Port Canaveral
* Sebastian Inlet
* Fort Pierce Inlet
* St. Lucie InletWhat the catch: Troll for tuna, wahoo or billfish
along the “Cones” outside Port Canaveral. Bottom fish
for grouper and snapper over the rocks and reefs just offshore
Sebastian Inlet. Hunt dolphin and cobia within sight of Fort Pierce
and St. Lucie Inlets.
Angler's Info: Try spinning or fly tackle for the ocean predators
or conventional live bait or trolling. Skilled anglers or novices

* Kayak the back waters of the Merritt Island National Refuge
in the Banana and Mosquito lagoons.
* Explore the "No-Motor Zone" in the backyard of rocket
gantries and the Kennedy Space Center.
* Paddle on the Banana River and see the Manatee Refuge.
* Cruise down the Sebastian & Eau Gallie Rivers or Turkey
& Crane Creeks.
* Discover Cocoa Beach and the Thousand Island Preserve.What's

including manatees, bottle nose dolphins, otters, gators, osprey,

* The Indian River Lagoon is home to over 330 species of birds,
31 mammals, 65 different reptiles and amphibians.
* The Indian River Lagoon coast is home to 16 protected, threatened
or endangered species including five species of sea turtles; loggerhead,
green and leather back sea turtles.
